sliding electric gate replacement kit.....

after 20 years the old gate motor assembly has a prob with the magic eye......no obstuction and all wiring is in a conduit buried in conc under the door....
have checked the little control board, all tight and clean connections.....
so maybe time for a replacement.....??
a call out for a specialist starts at 100 euros ++++ beside spare may not be available.....
hence my idea for a new motorhead and control box complete....
any good makes out there.....?

even suggest how to repair.....
there is no other problem and inside the weather proof case apart from the odd spider it's immaculate.....
I can open the door by opening the drive engagement lever......when in drive it only opens the door never closes it....

assume it has micro switches as stops?? if so closed one maybe stuck or busted ?

just to confirm, the motor functions but only to open the gate when a manual lever is operated?

only one micro switch...
the magic eye I feel sure was glowing red at the main box all the time but now not.......

What make is the kit? pretty sure with the older stuff you can use any make of magic eye all it needs it 12V to both units and normally open/closed contacts

probably an arduino and a smart ten year old will sort it out ,,,
