Another way of doing this is to keep the trannie eng and box and power one axle and use indipendant brakes for steering, you can then use chains and sprockets to drive the other wheels.
If you went for a triaxle system and drive the centre wheel this would have it able to turn on a sixpence.
This then allows you to use the hydraulic pump to power the hydraulics tagged onto the front crank of the engine, this through a spoolblock would allow you to power a mower, use a 3 point linkage system and operate other hydraulic equipment.
Personally if you have a landy eng and gearbox kicking around this would be a better bet as you then get 8 or 10 useable forward gears, and can get forward speed to match operation speed for any 'implements'.
