A case of you having to perfect your technique. Say you have a similar joint type as described above, 6013 all that is available, also, suitable rod for end product, what would you do?
I'd have no choice but to use the 6013's and use a combination of a chipping hammer and a grinder to get out the rest of the slag before continuing.
and like you said, i still need to hone my skills, but i think i'm getting there.



I mentioned it to him, and he explained that its not cheap to be giving low hi's and premium rods to learners, but he knew I could weld basic joints by looking at my work, so he cracked out the fincords, lo hi's, bohlers cellulosics etc.
