hi in a few months i will be looking to buy a new Tig welder, this is the one i used in collage and it easy to work with. any have any experience with this?

not many people on this site will recommend a SIP product.
i did own a SIP welder a few models down from that,the 187 arc/tig,and found it very good value.ive never used that one,but if you use it by day and like it I'd go for it.
theres not many ac dc tigs for less than €1000 these days

Have a look at R tech mate, they have a good range of tig inverters and they het a much better write up than SIP

the budget would be around €1200. i sort of want to buy once and buy right, i am doing a metal fabrication apprenticeship so buy the looks of it i will be welding for the rest of my life!

its about as good a new machine that your budget will get

yeh R tech are good and the support is good, i know a few people that have had issues and they have had machines exchanged with some getting expensive saturday delivery to get them up and running fast, definately a good company not like others that have poor customer support

Are you getting yours from Jebb and Sons?

Thats who I got my welder from and I am convinced they passed me on a welder that somebody else had first.
