The 48V is how it is also done on my autoplus 150, no one say it won't work because the output voltage changes with power setting it works, also it is on the original TOPMIG 150 diagram I googled and modified.

Is your solenoid coil marked 48V? a lot of industrial units use 42V controls.

100% it is a 48V 50HZ, its a little brown one made by CEME, have a look on the forum link below, the second image shows same valve as fitted to my MC.

I got my 230v gas solenoid wired in the other day. I tested it by blowing into the hose and pulling the trigger at the same time, it worked perfectly. I would have done the modification sooner, but I had a back injury for the past three weeks.

So a big thank you for everybody who posted their advice on here, including Darren who replied by pm.
