Got the chance a little sip cheapish (£40)
Are they any good as they come or would I have to change stuff to make it decent and would it be possible to weld car panels with it ?
As above, flog it and spend your money on some half decent welder...
I would buy anew blue clarke 150te as a minimum or a used cebora mig welder, they are brilliant!
Make sure you get a CO2/argoshield bottle with it as well, flux cored wire doesnt work everytime!
It would be ok to tinker with (as in tinkering with the welder itself, and tinkering at welding) and £40 would certainly make it appealing as a first MIG.
Well , I already have a clarke 101,80a arctig inverter
The tig kit and regulator are £88,together .
There are you tube vids showing the next model up and it's good for car panels apparently .
Never done tig, can do sheet metal stick OK .
I don't have work to do with it , may have in the future but really it's just to play around with, would just like to be able to if I can .
This little inverter works OK for arc, I can lay down a thin bead at even 50a and join plate at 80a,its a discontinued model I got for £40 and I'm chuffed with that but don't know whether it's worth chucking money at it to go tig.
Would it do it?
How hard is it ?
I've got one just like that,,,,, I have to say I paid $100.00 for it in U S anyway that is what brought me here I was looking for information for the machine has no tag or sticker on it , only thing it says is ,,, Made in Italy it looks just like the picture here,,, anyway I read all the negativity as you have now but I already bought it , but since then I have welded fluxcore 0.35 _0.30 wire I rebuilt my complete exhaust system on my gmc truck,, pipe braces using two inch pipe sch.80 repaired neighbors trailer 3 inch angle iron,,, and many many other projects, basically this little machine has preformed great for me,,,, I can't complain honestly,,, now I don't know if all these machines are made in Italy or anywhere else but this one is it even came with a hose and gauge,,,,,, Sip ?
