I had a very old Mig Mate, you could change the wire speed with the rotary pot, that is what it was there for.Does anyone familiar with sip migmate know
Whether I should be able to adjust wire feed by the dial , the wire feed is only changing when I change the power settings , but wont speed up or slow down via the dial

If you can get the board out of the unit and post it to me, I'm happy to replace the pot for you. Got to keep these old SIPs going!I think the dial has gone I dont think it's worth getting a new circuit board so I'm going to scrap it
And buy a new one,
Thanks for the info
Any vat free codes most appreciated lol
Thanks for the offer but at the moment I just dont have time to do anything with it , I'm just going to buy a new one for nowIf you can get the board out of the unit and post it to me, I'm happy to replace the pot for you. Got to keep these old SIPs going!
There is a place on Ebay that repairs the full board but I dont have time I also took the torch apart and it's been messed about with I dont think it's the right one for itif skotl has a pot and you can get the mig to me i will just solder it on for you once you get the part as well
only takes a couple of mins to do it
Definitely sounds like you've talked yourself into buying a replacement so I'm certainly not going to stand in your wayThere is a place on Ebay that repairs the full board but I dont have time I also took the torch apart and it's been messed about with I dont think it's the right one for it
