sip migmate 150 turbo ,old version?

hi been offered a sip migmate 150 turbo ,and is claimed to be an old version?
with a low end weld amperage of 25A does this sound right,,its grey with a handle on the front face as well as one on top ,,can anyone confirm this,,cheers also any pos and neg points re this welder

My Sip was also grey 150 turbo, can't remember the handle on the front though..it was rubbish to use.

How old is it supposed to be? VERY old SIPs were built quite well I believe but I do mean VERY old.
How much is the seller asking for it?

I have seen very clean Clarkes go for £120, I paid £80 for my SIP at the time..couple of years ago...it was £80 too much.

Keep your eye open for localish stuff on Ebay then you can see it working, I find there's usually something crops up within a couple of hours drive and careful reading of the listing gives a fair idea of the condition...if the seller is happy to demonstrate it working and it does then should be ok.

Now I have seen the pic my memory has kicked in..yep that was same as mine, there was 2 handles

Just had a look and a couple of nice 2nd hand Clarkes on Ebay at good prices, I don't like putting the links up in case another member is watching them and it costs them extra bids.

I find if you contact a seller who has listed 'collect only' and ask if you can send a courier they usually agree, would only cost a tenner or so and easy to arrange

I always select one that does not require printing the address label out, the courier takes it with them and puts it on the item.

my "old" migmate hat the wire feed horizontally & on top. Lid hooked under one end & had a thumb screw at the front IIRC.
