Just took the covers off the mig to check all connections and tightness of all components as there was a buzzing sound coming from within. To my horror the turbo fan had fallen off the motor and was sitting on the big transformer below. I put it back onto the motor and it seemed quite tight. Do you think it may had been incorrectly fitted at the factory.
Last year I was welding a job for quite a time and the mig cut out but after leaving it switched off for 10 mins it was ok and worked fine. All recent jobs have been short ones. I hope there has been no damaged done. There does not appear to be anything scortched or melted inside.
