SIP Migmate 130 replacement swan neck?

Hi,
I have searched the forum but I was not able to find an answer to my question.
I have the above-mentioned welder.

And I want to replace the contact tip, but the swan neck part that it screws into the thread has been ruined by someone...

Is it possible to just replace this part that the contact tip screws into?
I found listings on ebay which show this part, but they state numbers which mean nothing to me: 15AK / 24KD / 25KD / 36KD
Can someone please advise?

That looks OK to me. What's the problem? The tip is not properly screwed into the swan neck, but can't you replace the tip, or have the threads been stripped?

I remember some trouble finding the right neck for my Sealey 130XT Turbo, which is a similar sort of captive-lead simple welder. It is possible, and I got one in the end. Could you supply a picture of the whole torch? If it's anything like mine, there's a plastic collar at the bottom of the torch which unscrews, and enables the two plastic halves of the torch to separate. The neck was screwed into a plastic block which contains the trigger contacts and the gas valve (a plastic plunger with a couple of o-rings on). I had to repair the plunger as it had cracked.

Sure it's the thread, or is it the wire liner inside pushed up too far stopping it going in?

However, I ran my migmate turbo like that for years.

If I remember correctly, arent't those tips M6 thread ? run a tap down it, or a steel screw, try a new tip etc. Not that I've picked up the tight Yorkshire theme of short arms, deep pockets, despite being born a southerner, but I wouldn't be buying new without exhausting all possible fixes.

Cut down the thread length on the tip so it butts up okay?
