hello all, well i am a newbe so sorry if i have posted this in the wrong place etc,any way my problem is i have recently purchased the above welder but need to replace the swanneck of which i have but have no idea how to remove the pipes going into the the swanneck..do i have to cut them then push them into the new unit..any help would be cool...

if you're talking about the fittings on the gas valve then they're most likely similar to this one.

If so, to release the pipe, push the collar (arrowed) in the direction of the arrow, hold it there and the gas pipe and wire liner will simply pull out.

cheers for the reply fella,but its the actual torch handle that i am refering to..it has 2 tubes one gas the other for the wire and they dont seem to pull out if that makes sense...

hey cheers for the replay,yep thats the thing but were as the part i am refering to is made of brass in the picture mine is infact made of plastic with no visable way of removing the gas and wire feed pipes...
Any more help would be cool

The black plastic liner that the wire runs through simply pulls out (of the brass guide tube) & the clear plastic gas pipe is held into a similar fitting to Wozza's picture above... you hold back the 'collar' & pull the pipe to release it. Clear as mud?! What are you trying to do?

i will take some pics and post tomorrow but i am trying to replace the entire torch as the original one had a ******** thread at the tip ...

No need to replace the complete torch, you can just buy the replacement neck/gas valve assembly...

well what can i say but mega thanks for you help guys,after checking the pictures i managed to work out what i was doing wrong and remove and fit the new unit...

ps just out of interest how much do you charge for that swan neck assembly weldequip as the one i have just fitted was a warrenty replacement

That seems like a common failure on those SIP torches, I've seen several on here and for sale on ebay with broken ends where it narrows at the base of the thread. You'd think SIP would redesign it as it's an obvious weak point .
