sip industrial mig

i have this big old sip mig, it says on it sip industrial products leicester and on the front panel electronic speed and time control 7902. seems to have been made in italy.
approx size 32 x 28 x 13 inch
it has 5 settings and controls for stitch and spot welding and burnback delay.
does anyone know what the output power would be?

It's about the same proportions as my Oxford 120A... in any case, if it has a standard 3-pin domestic mains plug on it, it won't be more than about 150A tops as you can't pull enough through a 13A fuse to power anything much bigger.
From the size of the transformer etc. I'd go with 120-130A. The wire feed looks a bit beefier than on SIP's light-duty machines.
As far as I was aware SIP have always been an Italian company (or at any rate built their machines there).

Very true, I had a go on the college's but they were a Sip PLUSAUTO or soemthing. Looks pretty well built. I did take some photos of the welds.

I've got a SIP IDEAL 220, looks very similair to yours there, although mine has 8 power settings.

The electrical control panel is exactly the same though, and I just ordereda new pcb for it yesterday (£44)....

Mine says Leicester on the side too, and there's a sticker inside that says made in 1983....

What's wrong with the PCB Paddy? They're not usually hugely complicated things electronically, someone on here may be able to sort it for you... if we can't talk you through it
