Agreed. I had a SIP ideal 150 and that was perfect, but went far lower than 50 amps. One thing that helped was that it had a very good stitch facility which was finely adjustable for both weld time and pause time. Once you dialed in the right setting you could go all day turning out lovely beads without blowing holes, and that was on 0.8 wire, not 0.6.Welcome to the forum
According to the spec, it will do 50-250 Amps on Mig, which sounds like it's not going to be good for car bodywork. You really need to get it down to around 25-30A.
Edit: this isn't based on my experience, but seems to be "the accepted norm", however some people will argue that you can use a welder with a higher minimum. My suggestion is that if bodywork is the primary use, then I'd not start with this machine.
