sip 170p welder eurotorch liner,wire feed

hi there,
ive been having trouble with my mig wire feed ,the mig is a sip 170p with a euro torch...

the wire basically stops and starts,feeds for about a second,then stops and then feeds again.
i have held the feed roller to see if it is that stalling but it is working as it should. i can only think it must be the liner in the torch causing the wire to jam.

does anyone know what liner the eurotorch has,is it metal or plastic,and how long is it,2.5 or 3 metres....my welder is at my sisters and thought i could find out off sips website,but it seems as cr*p as there welders

These are the fellas - 3 metre blue Could be an issue with the wire feed assembly itself, but certainly worth fitting a new liner first.
Also check the condition of the wire, if it's very rusty bin & replace - light surface rust can be got rid of by unwinding a couple of layers until you get to clean stuff.

Could it be the spool sticking due to the spring turning thus increasing the tension on the spool then pinging back repeatedly? I had no end of trouble with this until I greased up the spool shaft, washer and spring (using red rubber grease in case it attacked the plastic spool) and put some weak compound threadlock on the spool holder bolt (to stop it doing itself up) and did it up just tight enough to stop the wire from bird-nesting.
