Hello Gents.
Am very happy to be here!
Please could anyone guide me on how to possibly get my SIP 150 Ideal working properly again. It is currently sending live current to the Earth once the trigger is pushed. This results in blowing the fuse after few minutes of light welding. I have done a visual check and found nothing obvious. I have taken out the Rectifier after browsing through some previous threads and still can't figure out what is wrong. The only thing looking suspicious on the rectifier is a little unit, marked on the picture, mounted on the edge of an outer plate. It seems to be sending out sparks with marks of yellowish smoke dust around the mounted plate. Please help me with the name of the circled unit.
I am relatively new to this industry and trying to find my way around. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks
