[Smoothly]

Seen a few on the forum, mine stopped working took the cover off and two wires have come adrift ones for the illumination others big and yellowy orange colour but can anyone help where they go.

Maybe zoom out a bit with the photos so we can see where the wires are coming from and what else is going on? They're not complicated machines so shouldn't be that hard to identify them.

given the stiffness of the wires, they wont be far off where they should be...you will have 2 terminals with the other ends if the wires either still in them, or they will be empty, but that narrows it down...then logically the larger wire would likely take the larger connection in an ideal world

if that doesn't sort it I have one in at the bus garage I will take some photos tomorrow if that helps

Hello and welcome to the Forum.

I guess it is a SIP 140 Arc welder, and that is the back of the double-pole On/Off switch. The mains Live ( brown ) and Neutral ( blue ) will be switched to the primary of the welding transformer, and to an indicator light. It looks like the solid winding wire(s) - which are probably aluminium and covered in yellow/orange heat-resistant sleeving - have been loose, crumbling, and burning for some time, and the switch terminals are corroded.
