I have a SIP130 mig which after 5 years occasional use is no longer working.
The problem is the wire does not feed out and the motor is not running and the torch does not arc up. I have checked the wiring in the torch and there is continuity from the torch to base unit on the blue wire and the heavy black wire. The spring steel switch is touching the brass gas block when squeezing trigger. There is continuity on wires coming off the feed motor and end of socket which plugs into circuit board. The base unit on off switch lights up when switched on and cooling fan runs also.
Is it worth getting it sorted by an expert or would it be better to by a new mig and what make should I go for in the diy/light user dept.
