Sip 105 turbo mig

Hi all, first post on here but read a lot of good stuff so hope I can get some advice!

On a punt I just bought a sip 105 turbo mig, (I have since read the wire feed issues!)

Now I paid £40 so my question is is it worth it??

I only need it for a few small jobs, (making seat subframes, bit on a exhaust so very small hobby use.

It was described as having a "jerky wire feed but only due to rust wire"....

Help advice greatly appreciated!

replace the liner and tip fit new wire and give it a go, it could cure it

got to be worth a go at that price and its not one of the ancient sips

As implied a new steel liner and the feed roller mod should give this old thing a new lease on life. At least they did the trick for my Migmate 130.
