I have some BMW alloys that are either matte or satin black.. still unsure the subtleties of that, but I'm saying satin black.
I might want to touch them up / repair some scuffing.
Would I be correct in saying that what I want is a 2 pack hardened/activated single-stage (i.e. no clear) paint? The wheels don't appear to have any kind of clearcoat at the moment, that I can tell. Not a matte clear or anything.
I did buy such a paint a few years ago for doing framework on a bike but I never used it and I think the tins rusted up. However a recent search didn't turn up much.. like I might be using the wrong terminology, or, people mix up their own with basecoat and clear.
Any ideas?
Also, is this much different to, say, an epoxy primer - 2k primer. Is that an iso activator or something entirely different?
