Hopefully in a few weeks I shall have my long, long, long awaited and bone achingly worked for new house/ workshop, I have come across an electric hoist that I want to put to good use use, in the lifting of heavy stuff, (fairly old but good a quality Jonas Webster of Bolton small hoist with a Brook Crompton Motor, very heavy for its size), along with a pendant controller (Telemecanique), both were separate finds.
I have tested the motor with the fixed strappers/ jumpers in place as per the wiring diagram for forward and reverse and all works well, obviously, I would like a means of controlling this without changing the hard wiring every time.
The pendant has an EStop, and up/down (fwd/rev) momentary switch and a 6 core cable (x1 NC contact block & 2 cores for the EStop, and a bank of 4 contact blocks, x2 NO & x2 NC for motor control).
Is there a way of wiring the pendant to control the fwd/ rev with what I have, or do I need to get some cable with more cores and extra contact blocks?
Thanks in advance.
