Hi Guys
I need to make up an oil cooler pipe for my Bike to replace the one that rusted through the other day. The oem Honda part is made of chromed steel and cost about £100 odd to replace, so I thought I'd have a go at making my own. I plan to make a brass flange and silver solder some 10mm copper pipe to it. The other end will be fitted to a flexible rubber connecter with a corbin ring.
My question is can anyone recommend a particular type of silver solder to use. A FleaBay search produces thousands of hits, and I suspect that half of them are just 'ordinary' solder (multicore or plumbers). What I really need is 'proper' silver solder!
The last time I did any silver soldering was in the early eighties during my apprenticeship, so it will be interesting to see if I still have the knack!
