nothing wrong with the way its being done, if the look its the larger item that is being heated directly, its the radiant heat is heating the smaller item and because its its a smaller volume thats why it gets hotter quicker.just a note here db i note your over heating the smaller fitting more than the bigger fitting
its fine but you should really heat the bigger fitting more to a degree as you can certainly over heat that smaller fitting
nice job though but im more used to doing it with a blowlamp
