Transformers for aerospace / military use. That's interesting @Brad93 ...whats it used for?
I use the regular copper tape for repairing copper tracks etc...not seen the silver coated stuff before. Is that for RF shielding or something?
I bought a couple of 25 foot rolls of brass tape, planning a "capstan variometer", like this one, with one rolled copper roller and anotherSomewhere out there is a radio ham who could use that to make some wonderful, high-power aerial tuner unit... or similar!
I wonder if that is "simple" silver on copper? It looks very silvery and reflective whereas a lot of the silvered copper wire I've seen is not quite so reflective and has a slight "yellow tinge" to it; may be that could be to do with coating thickness?
How wide's the tape? I'm looking at 4mm (5/32", came from Merica) with the tape I have to make the inductor thing... And it's plain brass...From the electronics industry.
How would i go about scrapping this?
I've got maybe a kilo. Just chuck it in the copper or should i leave it separated?

3D printed - will have to silver-plate it myself! It's going to want gears and a turns-counter too....

Yes it's looking that way. Maybe a few members on here will have use for it. i've got about 6 rollsRegarding the tape, estimate the weight of silver by scraping a portion off and measuring before/after with a micrometer. It might be pointlessly thin to even worry about.
it now has my broaching press on it, holds big v blocks, sine plate, fixture plate etcThat looks a lovely bench. I mean it's no good for hammering but as a standard work bench it looks great.
