just starting out today and took the torch apart and found a loose wire near the trigger .its a sip handymig and the wire thats off is white any idea were it should go the other wire is red and seems to go on the spring that the trigger pushs
Just by pure coincidence I found a post by another SIP owner who opened up his torch to find a non-connected white wire. Maybe on yours it shouldn't be connected to anything, it may be that they use a standard torch for machines with and without torch gas valves so ones with have them disconnected and ones with gas solenoids have them connected?
Does the machine work ok?
I reckon you'll find that wire is redundant. I'm sure the handymig has a gas valve, not a solenoid so the gas is controlled via a mechanical valve in the torch assembly and doesn't use any of the wires.
