Welcome to the forum. Looks like you have a welding trolley to build as a project! Depending on what type of work you are planning to do, having the machine and bottle on wheels is always a bonus as you can take it to the job. Don't be tempted to use a bigger cylinder of any size freestanding without being chained so it cannot fall.
Thank you all for your advice.
I reallise I wil need to change the regulator! but will I need to change the pipe too?
As you have no doubt guessed by now, I'm a real novice to Mig welding lol although I did play with an Arc wellder some 20 yrs ago!! therefore have some skills however small!! but I'm told this is nothing like that!!
You'll need an adapter kit like this depending on whether your cylinder is top or side entry.
Your little plastic pipe simply pushes into the fitting on the end of the hose.
You'll also need to secure the cylinder so either chain it to the wall or build a trolley, DO NOT allow it to free stand!
Thanks again for all the help and advice given to me, It is very much appreciated!!
I have to admit I am overwelmed at the responce and More ove how quick it was!
I will be back and when I get sorted with a bottle of gas (prob tomorrow) and later the Regulator (No I won't do anything till I get them both lol) I will start practicing and will come back to let you all know how I am getting on!!
Thanks again!
