Yep, the window channels are oft quoted as benefitting from silicone grease and that is where I have used it. But I've never tried lithium grease - have you?

Best stuff by far is Gummi Pfledge imho for window channels and door rubbers.

That Gummi Pfledge is really excellent. No more door rubbers getting stuck in the winter or door channel rubbers squeaking as you wind the windows up and down.

A quick look on Google suggests that Gummi Pfledge (GP) was originally developed by Sonax and their stuff is usually good, Apparently the key constituent is glycerine. Never heard of it previously; may give it a try as I have one window really prone to sticking.

You will have to accept a bit of smearing on the window but you just have to keep wiping it off. On SWMBO's old Pug one window would occasionally jam and go on the ****. That Gummi Pfledge sorted it and cured the squeaky noise too.

Sticky window runners are usually down to contamination, usually after somebody has applied something that dries out and becomes sticky. Even some silicon sprays dry out and become tacky.

I usually clean out the runner as best as I can using brake cleaner on a rag without stripping the runner out, and I have a tin of dry PRFE spray, that dries non-tacky that I apply.
The silicon sprays we get at work leave a tacky layer, although I have had cans that do just leave a dry film. It's like most lubricants, they come mixed with various different carriers depending on intended application, so it's not just a case of buying a silicon spray.

For door rubbers, usually a good clean, along with cleaning the door stops them sticking. And if it still sticks, put some wax on the door.

funny i was looking at that in 5L on ebay earlier not cheap but its all good stuff no propellent like the cans

Snap on toolbox drawer runners, dont last but does make them real nice for a while.
Sticky retracting seatbelt, works wonders.

This and similar work well on runners/locks etc

As a stick with a foam applicator head. I just rubbed it up the vertical rubbers in the door, working it in well, then along the window rubber at the base of the window. Did with the windows down. It's quite runny and went all over the glass but ran down. Much kitchen towel was used to get it off the glass but it worked and has kept things good.

I'll give it a try. A long time ago, the driver's door window got stuck while I was closing it on one of my old cars, and the incredibly powerful electric motor refused to stop, so it destroyed the mechanical scissor mechanism that moves the glass. I think the car pre-dates the anti-trap systems. Replacing it is a fiddly job, so not keen to have that happen again .

I'm sure someone told me that the quality windscreen washes include a drop of glycerine additive as it lubricates the movement of the wipers.
