silencer?

evening all,

finally got me ba2 up and running, loud as feck we no silencer, just wondered if any of you lads had got a old silencer kicking about in your sheds, something off a twin cyl lawn mower or similar, after something with a 1/12"- 2" pipe coming off it, if you know what I mean!!!

Quad bikes have nice neat little silencers

cheers lads, and yes a petter ba2, running nicely after not being started for about 10 yrs. just took a bit of working out how to start it.

make a silencer I did from 3mm plate and I was surprised how well it worked. I had a lombardini diesel with a rusted through ultra thin silencer so I basically copied the design but the finished silencer contained 4 of the original designs in 1 so was much better

did think about making one like one of these pepper pot ones, but aint got a clue whats inside them

not exact but this is basically what I did sound travels in straight lines so make it go around many corners and the sound gets less and it works really well just make sure if you make one that it doesn't restrict the flow

mine was probably 8 or 9 inch square and 2 inch deep I built a box with no lid welded in the partitions then drilled holes in the top and plug welded to the partitions to stop them vibrating and welded around the edges obviously
