Hi have no idea where the RNRmotion.dll file is, the software is not my game, will ask my son when he comes round on 29th if still required.
If you could would be great. Windows tries to hide such files. When you do find it just right click and bring up extra info.Hi have no idea where the RNRmotion.dll file is, the software is not my game, will ask my son when he comes round on 29th if still required.
Just got Mach3 working with it. Sorted out the dll file. Now have to learn to configure it. Looks very complicated. The other software looks easier but isn't very well supported.
I have no intention of using 1000mm feed rates. Just can't work out why the motors sound nice at that speed but not at say 400.Did I hear My name?
Although I have a couple of Sieg bench top Mills and one of their KX-3 machines You may be mixing me up with the Late John Stevenson who had a lot of involvement along with ARC Eurotrade in the development of the Sieg CNC machines as well as the manual mills. He had a lot better understanding of al things Mach as well as the hardware side of things.
Unless the X1 has had a speed upgrade I would doubt you will be wanting to use 1000mm/min feed rates very much as being quite alight weight machine it is not going to be able to cope with the resulting chip loads that will result from a slow spindle and fast feeds. I would set the maximum rapid speeds in Mach as 1000mm/min and then work out your feeds based on cutter and material.
As Julian says once the machine has been set up you don't really need to do much in Mach except use it to jog the work and spindle for setting up for a cut and then running the actual code. Best option is to use CAM software with a post processor that will spit out the g-code for Mach3mill. Something like Fusion360 is plenty good enough for hobby use even with the limitations it now has. That;s what I use and never actual write any G-code. Though if it is just a hole you want then the Mach Wizards could be used.
