That's a whole different issue there.Mrs prefers the rain fall head, reckons the other bit hurts first thing in the morning.

That was my theory in our cottages too.simple.ive had a few showers elec and off the plumbing system ones and only thing id fit in my own house now is the shower bar ones and i do maintance for our rented rooms and houses and now fit them in them as well screw fix do a there own brand for less then 70 quid work well great with low or high pressure and where we are is hard water area
Turn off water undo 2 nuts on the back of the shower replace the bar and all the fittings in no time at all and new shower ready to go
I get that, but she has a selection of health problems. That's a whole different issue there.![]()
Something that seems to be ignored by the majority of fitters. If you've a monsoon head installed, the last thing that I'd want is a cold start to my shower.Well handy having the controls to one side so you don't have to risk getting wet switching it on.

Price water will be going up in the south to fix all their issues, you dont want to be running the cold off!Tbh we leave it on the spray / hose setting. Only really my lad uses the rainfall head. Tbh either will catch you out and soak you. Very handy to the side. You can let it run and feel the temperature before you step under it.
I'm not rich enough to have one of those digital jobbies!
Send the Mrs in first, and then when it's warmed up you can hop in afterwards.Price water will be going up in the south to fix all their issues, you dont want to be running the cold off!
I really like this @OnoffYou could do away with a tray altogether and put in a 20mm tray former:

We've a Hudson Reed Reign concealed thermostatic valve with diverter. You can have the spray bar, rainfall head or both. Very pleased. Been fitted 6 years I think, no issues

Nicely done. What is your build-up on the floor? This is ours, not totally finished. Still doing cabinets and bit of tiling. Using epoxy grout so that's why tops not grouted as have to mix whole tub and need to finish tiling about vanity and grout the lot in oner.View attachment 494043

What lights did you use in the niches?
My kid sister has LED strips tiled into the alcoves in her bathroom. Looks nice, but an awful lot of chasing walls to get power where is was required with very little gain.Indeed. On the list is a hot return pump maybe triggered by a PIR when you walk into the bathroom.
The cheapest stainless steel decking lights from Screwfix tbh. On clearance, £4.99 for 10 if I recall.
The floor was suspended timber but totally knackered so took it up and laid a concrete slab with insulation with sand cement screed with ufh.Nicely done. What is your build-up on the floor?
