After my recent acquisitions, it occurred to me that I may have a few too many items falling into the title categories.
Primarily because I'm finding it difficult to close the drawer in which they live

Do the members think that perhaps I have too many for a small hobbyist's workshop?

Well since I had them all to hand there was a bit of stripping and dunking in phosphoric. All went well.
That is apart from this

Exercising a complete lack of understanding of how the holder was assembled, I used brute force and snapped off the draw stud.
I can't claim ignorance, because I've dismantled similar holder before.
Now to find a left hand 1/4"Whit. tap and die...

A have a draw of them, I woudl describe most as crap.
If they are in the draw there are only two I would ever use.
An eclipse 246 and an eclipse chuck type.

I just wall mounted all my bigger ones but forgot to get a pic. Biggest is over 2ft long for tap wrench and die stock.

I have so many useless tap wrenches most came in cheap tap sets bought over many years. For some reason even if they are rubbish they end up back in the drawer rather than the scrap bin . Dont know why but some tools are harder to discard than others? Actually that could be a good topic for another chat

For tapping I use the 3/8th ratchet adapters with my stumpy 3/8th ratchet.

Is it the type with 2 sliding jaws rather than the split collect eclipse type?

They are normally moor and Wright, or one of a few American makes

It's a sliding jaw version. Not one that I've seen before.

I also forgot to include the stock that I made last week

Also, the small T-handle, immediately under the one circled, cleaned up rather well. It's American made, but manufacturer's name, and the handle is held nicely by a shaped spring loaded plunger, which was seized. Also freshened up the knurling
