I thought i had posted these;
Far left is horizontal band saw, engine hoist and stands and a 20k BTU gas heater. Right of the door is the two welder beasts (1200 lbs.) Far right is a blast cabinet.
Finally cleaned up enough space to pull my Jeep in. Had the GPZ pulled out to rework the carbs. Had pulled them off 4 times before finally running a #80 drill through the idle jets. So back in line. Also got rid of the two Chinese 4-wheelers I fixed up for kids in the neighborhood. Nice to have some room, but need to make more space.
Here's the bench end:
On bench is crappy bench drill press. Right of bench is ProArc 25A plasma and Atlas 12x36 lathe. Above that window shaker AC unit.
I had cleaned the bench off last week, all ready full of stuff.
Behind bench is 150A breaker panel and the crossover and sub panel for the house generator. I can't weld when power is out, but can still work
Then again I do have my portable welder.
Just taking space is an '88 Mustang, an '82 GPz550 and an '86 ZX600a (under covers). All need work. The GPz550 is being rebuilt (on a motorcycle stand so I can roll it out of the way and don't have to bend over.)
In front are the '83 GPz550 I bought in '84. After 18 years and 40k miles with the GPz, i decided I wanted something new so bought a 2001 ZX6R (almost 20k miles.) Both run great.
Left side:
Left: floor jack, stands, small band saw. Center is my portable welder. Top is storage for steel. Most of the shelves are the parts for the GPz550 and ZX600A that are being rebuilt.
When people say i have too much stuff, i tell them bout a buddy of mine. Has a 3-bay garage full of stuff including 4 motorcycles and an pristine 67 'vette. Then he has a 2-bay detached garage with a lift and 3 cars (vetts and camaros), 2 bikes and so full of stuff you can not walk in it. Behind is 3 trailers, 3 riding mowers about 5 jet skis and trailers.
Oh, and his driveway has 4 cars in it.

Ahhh, another RC modellist I see too. Wish I had all that space, even with the bits filling it, I`ll take the Mustang off you, fancied one for a few years now, ever since i saw a couple of turbo`d ones going up the strip over here, very nearly bought a SN95 instead of my last car.

Yest, the basement is full of R/C stuff. That is a Giant STinger with a 62cc Zenoah, 100" wingspan.
The Mustang has been sitting for 8 years. I picked up the Cherokee to carry the big planes. Now interested in getting the 'stang going. Before it sat, I replaced the fuel pump as it was very noisy. New (aftermarket) one was just as loud and died in 6 months. Has sat ever since. Need to drop tank again
Also has bad rear seal on engine. Must have nicked the seal when I rebuilt the engine. Those '88 mustangs were a bad year. No valve guides in head; the only year they did that. So at about 90k they burn oil like crazy. No smoke though with 4 catalytic converters
Been itching to get it going. Was a good reliable car and got good gas mileage unless you put your foot down. Then the speedo and the gas guage pass each other goin opposite directions.
Jeep is a darker color blue. Will pick up a bunch of blue in a middle blue and paint both.

I now have more room in the garage, here's proof:
There is nothing as nasty as 9-year old gas Dropping the tank and new pump was not that bad. Pump was rusted (cheap Asian aftermarket.) Tank looked clean inside, a tiny bit of surface rust here and there. Put in new American Made pump.

Took it to a car wash (illegal to wash cars at home due to drought restrictions.) Got the dust off. Even with the power washer and the bug/grime spray it still has brown stuff all over it.
BLasted engine compartment with pressure washer. Looks better. Then wouldn't start. Found had blasted off the spark wire and the end was nothing but a white corroded mess.
Yea, the DIY welder is small but probably 48" long including handles.

Hi Guys,
Just a couple of photo's, Now that I'm retired I spend even more time in my "second home" My daughter took the pic's last year and don't show the whole extent I'm afraid, the Cobra lives in one half and land cruiser in the other,Bit of a pain having to tidy up before putting them away every night but I am a great believer in what I'v paid for I want to hang onto. Four point locking system on the doors and steel mesh inside the windows all with their own contact and vibration alarms linked to the alarm operators central control room.

I was always a lincoln man but the Kemppi is out of this world for portability and ease of use. Can't knock the Lincoln SP-170 you can turn it down and weld 0.025" stainless sheet with a lovely continuous flat bead. Non of this tack,tack tack stuff,Have not really used the Butters synergic pulse much yet so can't comment on it at the moment.
The Pilgrim Cobra has the Rover V8,sounds fantastic with the 2 short side pipes.
I think I must be trying to relive my youth, I my twenties I loved Jaguars, Had a huge MkV11, Mk2 3.8 saloon then an XK 120 roadster and finally an XK 150 convertible (wish i still had them but got married had a family bought a house you know how it is, needed the money for other things) 0H HAPPY DAYS,

very very basic and small but its a start. Just bought a 10x8 shed.
Wood lathe i no, its a change from working with metal all the time.
Just a question, Was out in the shed tonight and was welding and grinding in it but with it being all wood in side its not the safest. What can i do to make it more safe?

My last shed was all-wood and I failed miserably to set that on fire. Normal rules for hot works is to do a fire watch for 1 hour before leaving the area, so I'd suggest getting a good water fire extinguisher and checking the area regularly for an hour after doing anything hot.
