A company called " Spenklin " made an almost identical Power Arm base like the one on the Wilton baby bullet vices. Here's a photo of one for comparison which has a parallel jaw clamp mounted.(Spencer Franklin again) --- to really keep up with the Wilton 'baby' collectors in USA, he needs to have half of them mounted on S-Frank Hydraclamps to match the 'baby plus powrarm Wiltons' which can sell for 10x that Record No 1 patented I mentioned above. ................................
Height is an interesting point, suppose depends on the job in hand
You jammy whtasname, that's a steal for a tenner. I'll give you your money back and my Sealey in px.I will be doing. Never got the originals, unfortunately. Considering I only paid a tenner for it though, I wasn't complaining.
Used to just use a block of wood as a rest, but now I have that press brake, I've no excuse for not making something more befitting of it.
Ooooooooooooh that’s narstyView attachment 381866
your taunting me with that fortis the background
Consider making a two piece pedestal that's adjustable in height, such as using a lower box section with the upper one sliding within it ?I did do a bit of umm'ing & ah'ing whilst deciding on height. Mainly drill bit & other tool sharpening will be that grinder's purpose. Thought it may just make it a tad easier to see the bit, rather than looking overly down upon it. Could be wrong though. May end up dropping that shelf a bit, if need be.
No need for you gentlemen to get your panties in a bunch. The lovely Fortis has gone to a Spa for a refreshing oil massage, and may return at a later date.Ooooooooooooh that’s narsty
Now you have me thinking - adjustable height bench grinder stand AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHI did do a bit of umm'ing & ah'ing whilst deciding on height. Thanks. I do take things apart and lay them out in related order, clean a section at a time and then put it back together. When all are done I reassemble in reverse order.A little tip.... Don't mix the fingers from the different stacks, I had issues on one of mine as the cam wouldn't clamp both stacks until I found the right combination.

Wouldn't surprise me, as I would probably do the same. You do know that if any of us lived nearby, we'd now pop round & discreetly swap those two stacks around?
