One we have recently pulled out it was my grandads and has been in the family since at least 1960s. All still working nicely jaws are still in great condition. Is this quite early for a record?

Winchboy has two the same but from memory unbranded we believe them to be pre 1900, so we would assume Woden bought them in with the own brand cast in when they first started?

Just acquired this, in a box of contents for £2!

A Hilmor PV1 2" pipe vice, probably off a bender. It's a nice compact unit so I'll mount it on a plate & weld some 2" box on the bottom so I can clamp it in a bench vice like so.

It will be handy for holding round stuff tightly, it tends to spin out of a standard vice. It has been 'painted' by a previous owner, over the dirt, rust & everything. So a good soak in the e-bath will be needed before painting it properly.

Anyone know what the original colour should be?

RAF roundel Blue. Or there is a Rattle can for a Ford paint what is close enough.
