................................ Funny how all dads had their single workshop colour back in the day, isn't it? Make sure you keep hold of one thing he painted in his colour to remember him by.

Yeah, green was the color my Dad liked for marking his tools. Some times just a small area or part on a tool, or like the pipe legs of a metal workbench I built for him, or completely like the vise shown below, which I still have. It was cleaned up and painted nearly fifty years ago, and put away for someday, which never arrived for him; and I still have it, unused since then. Guess I've continued the tradition, and panted a lot of my tools with green.

Awfully like Glasgow Corporation Green.
Used to amuse me, seeing the number of sheds, doors, even cars painted in Corpy Green around Glasgow. Items that had nothing to do with the Corpy.

The paint was "One Shot", a lead based sign painters paint, discontinued years ago because of supposed health issues. Its durability is outstanding compared to other paint available nowadays. I still have a partial tin and full quart of it.
