Each to their own and all that but I find if I have a few of something then I never know where one of them is when I need it, whereas if I have just one then I always know where it is!
A recipe for crashing the tool into the chuck more like.I like the TV infront of the lathe
I try to double or treble up on basics but it things like cir-clip pliers or bearing pullers that are always anywhere apart from where you need them.
Yes mate, I like the facom set but if I fancy splurging some company cash I may get a set like these@daleyd
I see you have a decent set of "Boot Lace" crimpers, I have 3 sets, all Facum. Expensive. But worth the money.
The older set can, but just do the " double flair" Boot lace for holding two cables. But the newer ones , 10 years old now, do them very well.
I've got a set of those, you can see them in my pic above, they are very good especially for the smaller ends, they put a serrated crimp on, I've never had one come loose.Yes mate, I like the facom set but if I fancy splurging some company cash I may get a set like these

as my ones aren't great at the smaller crimps (I've been doing a bit using cat5 cable as 485 comms cable recently and using the white bootlace crimps the facom ones leave them a bit loose)

I never got on with them, the company tool box has them.
But each to their own.
The ones I've got are great for more "normal" size cables it's only that I've been using tiny cores in crimps that are just a tad too big, but I do like those type you have.I've got a set of those, you can see them in my pic above, they are very good especially for the smaller ends, they put a serrated crimp on, I've never had one come loose.

Drawer 2.
That's not counting the pliers in the tool bags in the van, the ones in the get me out of trouble tool box in the van.
The one in the "Go to help" friends in those 3 tools box's.
The ones in my big play pen, in Liverpool, Hastings, in the loft as to good to throw out, but don't use.

That's the crimping pliers drawer, again theses are home use. I have duplicate all over.
Do I spy a trip hazard [or two]? Surely not.![]()
