I’m looking to buy my first Tig welder and started looking at the cheaper welders (Sherman & Andeli) but have decided to stretch my budget to the limit I’m just about comfy with for something quality that I can grow into.
I want to weld Aluminium up to about 5 mil and also titanium for some bike project exhausts.
For about the same money I can get either the R-Tech 210 EXT with the water cooled option + wp20 torch
or a GYS pro tig 201 water cooled model.
The R-Tech has multiple ac waveforms but the GYS does not.... does that really matter?
Both suppliers are pretty local to me, so no deciding factors there.
My budget is just over £2000 inc VAT. Luckily I can claim the VAT back.
I need to make a decision soon, it’s making my head hurt .
Or do I just take my chances on a Sherman digitig for £700 (probably my least preferred option due to the hassle when/if it goes wrong)
TIA
