80 amps on less than 1 MM. Doable maybe if not using filler clamped tight to a good heat sink and racing down at a rate.ouch so i just have to keep at it then! How many amps should i use for metal that's not even a mm thick? The german lad that showed me how to do it was welding around 80!!!
and he showed me and went like: easy....ja gut...
but when i do it he keeps saying : ah kaput

I always had one, so I used itPedals on DC are in my opinion a waste of time.
I cannot see a Benefit to using one on DC. Fixed set current is the way to go. It's a useful tool on Alu (not essential) but useful. Because of the very different current levels needed to break through the oxide layer and get the part heat soaked and actually welding on a heat soaked part.
ok. Well that's not too difficult. Even at high current it's probably not going to get chance to burn through or distort. Ask him to do it at those currents without it clamped down on a 200 MM run.centimeter and a half,
Good luck. Some pics of the results both good and bad would be good. Thanks i wil see how i get on today!![]()
I'm sorry but pics are not possible....Good luck. Some pics of the results both good and bad would be good.
