I see them postal stores vans regularly (I live 3 miles from the border) they stand out to me because I'm fairly sure on most of them they've spelt Monaghan wrong
Great isn't it. Easier to ship from Berlin to NI than from the UK mainland. Barking insane that's what it is.

So many ebay and amazon sellers now not posting to NI, you'd think it was a third world country!
Thats because bojo decided to put the border down the middle of the Irish sea.
There is an Invisible border between Norway and the eu, works well and causes no issues with trade or travel. It was the eu trying to pressure the UK into staying in the eu, and using Ireland as a stick to beat them with, its already caused violence sadly. I will say no more as no politics on here.In fairness, I don't think it was his decision. I believe it was "the agreement" which left Northern Ireland in the EU for a while, the No Border people of Ireland are the real culprits.

I assume that's sarcasm?I don't know what you lot are all complaining about - we just need to pull together like "we" did in the Blitz.
It's just Project Fear.

Lol thought soMy work is business to consumer.
About 50% of my customer base was in the EU.
Lol thought so
And as you know we work in the logistics industry so this is NOT political merely stating the facts which nobody likes to hear
For the last 4 months I have been in a state of total despair over this. However my company "may" actually start to benefit from this. We had a big grant from HMRC and are in the process of becoming an independent customs agent/broker for other logistics companies. Loads of red tape to overcome but could be quite lucrative - we shall see. At the moment we are working 3x harder for less money.
Greece is a nightmare at the moment. They are even hitting parcel customers with 100 euro charges for the paperwork. We shipped a land rover winch for someone. £650 to buy. £90 shipping - customer in Greece had to pay £350 in total - refused so shipped back with all sorts of extra charges. There has been mention of the EU allowing external companies to register for vat collection, in the same way as the UK has "forced" foreign players to collect their vat.
I don't know how the numbers will work out, but, if / when they do that may level things up a bit for the business to consumer field.
The killer at the moment is not the vat, but the processing fee.
My average sale is £60 shipped. So at present that creates a £15 vat burden for EU customers, as well as an (approximate) £15 clearence fee.
Meaning my price became 50% higher for EU customers on the 1st of January.
We have been burning through savings ever since.
But, I guess it's a small price to pay for the NHS getting that £340 million a week extra (they said it, not me!)
Joking apart, aside from the feel good factor of less illegal immigrants (the clue is in the name, but seemingly noone ever noticed that?) I've yet to see any benefit to this situation.

What, is someone saying that they're less illegal now than they were before January?aside from the feel good factor of less illegal immigrants
