I’m looking to send a pallet of second hand parts to Northern Ireland they are a bit too big to send through the post, and by the time I’ve sent them in a few separate boxes I’ve paid for a pallet.
I’ve done this once before, but this time when I phoned the company they said they aren’t sending anything to NI or ROI as it is too much hassle now.
They gave me a number for a different outfit, but it seems as if these are geared more towards commercial customers, looking for goods invoices, company details and such – none of which I have, it being just a pile of junk sent between two blokes in sheds at residential addresses.
They also hinted at customs charges and HMRC needing the address of the importer to send the bill. I’m none too sure how they are going to value it other than scrap.
Anybody done this recently and know the ins and outs of the paperwork, or can recommend a courier that still deals with NI?
