Well I have an account with parcels to go and I added the size as 20kg 200cm x60cm x60cm to be sure and parcel to go would not quote and they use my hermes.

The courier I use and have used for years have a max length of 2.2m weight? lots! and a flat rate I think now it is about sixteen quid a bit more if the package is really big. if I break a heavy load into two pieces the price is the same. They are an agent for urrm damn, oh yeah APC. Easy to deal with and I have never had a problem with them., Have a look on google not sure how national their coverage is.

I use the TNT service via parcel2go for a regular dispatch of one of my steel products which is 200cm X 20cm X 10cm X 12kg which goes on a next day TNT for delivery to UK postal Zone A for £10.99 excluding VAT or £13.19 Inc VAT excluding insurance.

The thing that puts couriers off is anything over 20kg.
Hermes and Yodel aren't interested, and if they can't fit it in a car these days, they really aren't interested.
As above, Paisley Freight will take it, can't remember price, but they deal with 7.5t vehicles for deliveries, not cars!

I send several 30kg parcels by Hermes and UPS every month. I use Hermes for within the UK, and UPS for the overseas.... I have 3 X 30kg parcels for dispatch on Monday to Virginia and Pennsylvania in the USA, and Holland.
Hermes are ok up to 15kg but check on size.

Hermes - 15kg limit. Or they ship it out to another courier. Speaking from experience, and I've worked for them too!!

I suspect at the other end they are delivered by another courier company, but they are collected from me by a Hermes 7.5 tonne truck, which is also the same one that delivers two boxes containing 2 X 15kg reels of mig wire at 30kg per box (for 60kg in total) to me three times a year.
