Sherwin williams ?

The local paint supplier is offering sherwin williams paint , which i believe is american, for not a lot of money. Whats this paint like ? Is it a decent brand or muck ? The sterling/euro rate has gone mad and sikkens and lesonal prices have gone up considerably, so i am looking at paints with a lower price.

I have heard of them, but online have only seen them sold at Leigh Paints, which SW bought. They don't seem cheap, but I don't know what Sikkens or Lesonal cost in comparison. Guess they are too new in the UK to have made inroads into the market yet.

SW - Rolls Royce of paints. Was Leighs paints. Very often specified for steelwork in aggressive environments. Expensive.

It was actually the second cheapest in the shop, only HB body was cheaper. I was going to use lesonal, and got a price of 55 euro's + vat per litre before, but this has risen to over 100 euros + hardener +vat ! And Sikkens is even more expensive again. Trouble is i don't really know how much paint i need, as its a motorcycle frame, forks, and a huge amount of brackets and tinware, i don't know would i get away with 1 litre of paint, 1/2 litre of hardener and thinners bringing this to 2 litres. I know that sounds a lot but there is some amount of surface area and also you get a lot of wasteage with frames etc.
