Not sure they would work on steel flat bar.They exist for cutting pavers and rock slabs.
I think he means the cutting action, a shear works by zipping through the metal at a fair pace, i bet it would just stretch the metal before the cut and be of no quality..intresting idea and i would like to be proved wrong all the sameNot for my use. Have you got a fly press ? Could you adapt a pair of shear blades to fit it ?Not for my use. I would only be cutting one or 2 pieces a day max.
I've seen some massive shears for all sorts of profiles some for 3 inch square barsNot sure they would work on steel flat bar.
yea me too, those machines are so versitile and far better than my skill set, would love to own one.I always wanted a "Metal Worker" shear/punch....
My first one, seen and used when I was in S Africa....
Dont really need one at the mo but would like one anyway.....
