SGS gas price hike

The dealers are like that round here, if you don't have the deposit receipt with you they won't exchange.

That's something that's specifically addressed on the Hobbyweld site - you can exhange your bottle anywhere.
I've just found that Hobbyweld are doing a 20L cylinder charged to 230bar, which might be tempting enough. There's a Hobbyweld stockist about ten miles from me, but they (the stockist) don't tend to be very cheap for most of their stuff, and I'm fairly sure their prices for the 9L bottle weren't great.

Depends if you want to buy off of a German , soon to be American conglomerate who have had a monopoly for years and have only reduced their prices due to the action of people like us or wether you want to support an independent British company who's mission it has been to bring rent free cylinders locally to everyone who wants them in the UK.

What's the situation with SGS in Ireland now? The map seems sparsely populated, and Top Parts seems to have dropped SGS in favour of Stargas. Top Parts were a shower of greedy sods anyway, quoting me some ridiculous prices when I enquired.
