Make sure all your connections are tight, use soapy brush. Turn on completely, half-way is useless. Turn off whenever you stop for more than a minute or two. You will be through the little bottles in no time. I hate using little bottles, but sometimes I have to

Sorry to jump in here,
Is that true about have the gas turned up all the way on the disposables, someone told me once that all you need is a audioable hiss from the gun. I have done a little bit of welding and it looked OK.
What does the weld look like if there isn't enough gas coming out of the gun.

sooty black/brown welds and willl have little strength as they will be porous
