Setting the compressor

When setting up the spray gun I open the compressor valve on the wall fully open
I have large bore hose goes into the devil biss control box
a small hose to the air fed mask
A wip hose to the gun

I use the regulator attached to the gun to control the air 2 bar

Should I adjust the valve on the wall ?
How do I no I am getting enough air in the mask or to much ?
How do I no if the carbon filter attached to the air fed mask needs replacing
Ho do I no if the air pressure to the gun will stay the same
The compressor is a Clarke air model no SE16C150 10 bar

Hi,
Did the gear come with a manual or second hand? If s/h I would fit a new filter, set air from comp. at around 60-80psi at a wild guess to keep a good pressure at control panel, if the mask steams up you need more air, pressure changes at gun will be noticeable (but unlikely as flow demand to helmet is constant) I recon. It sounds like a good bit of kit Dv. Biss make great guns. Try it all before you mix any paint to make sure your comp. can keep up. Hope that helps!

I use a gauge at the inlet to my gun to tell me the pressure at the gun. I do most of the adjustment at the regulator on the wall.

I use a devilbiss Sri pro with same set up as you and wall regulator is set about 70psi, I set the gun with a mini regulator at the gun. Any problems with airflow and the warning whistle would sound on mask filter unit. If you have a full sized devilbiss gun your compressor won't keep up as I only just manage with the Sri you will need another compressor in tandem
