Nail punch and hammer can be used to adjust them back to true
Get a bigger hammer and punch.Thats OK if they were Square in the first place. I bought a Dewalt one. It was 1/4" out of square straight out the packet
A decent 600 mm setsquare costs way more than I am prepared to pay ...... last few framing squares I had someone cut for me on a laser... They get bent
Yup. The Stanley framing Square I’ve had for at least 30yrs is still bang on. I used to the show the buffoon in Screwfix the Dewalt disgrace
I really don't rate dewalt. .. only thing I like are their has drill bits... but they are expensive so only buy when I need them today
a familiar taleAgreed. It wasn't my choice, just picked it up for someone who liked mine but didn't want to pay the price.
But hey, it was Yellow
pretty much, ive not seen biggerIs 600x400 the standard size for there tools? Or are they available in larger sizes?
Might make some of my own nextNo idea why only hex are available now. Mine are round and sit better for it.
Make a framing square a useful tool.
Never owned one in Alli. It's no use as it is now so nothing to lose annealing to testI used the centre punch & hammer method to true up the ally framing square I bought in B&Q. Unfortunately I went too far & no matter how much I hit the other side it will not come back again!I'm thinking that I need to anneal it before trying it again.
