Hi all,
Quick question. I've had a set of metric spanners for years. Use them a lot, they've been abused, and left sitting in **** most of their life.
I had a few days off so I thought I'd clean through everything and make it all pretty again. Now with the spanners the numbers have pretty much all worn away. I guess these were chemically or laser etched into some top coat on the spanners when new.
Just wondering the best way to re mark them. I guess they'd be steel chrome vandium like most spanners. They (used) to have a mirror finish. Could these be engraved or would they stamp?
Sounds silly I know but they've been a brilliant set of spanners, with no bending or deformation which is unusual with tools now
Cheers!
