some has been asked if he wants a dig out of his septic tank so say there are black disks that should be under metal grating the bloke qouted in the thousends plus poss there is repares might need to be done cost extra
having never owned a septic tank i cant advice but would like to help him not get done over any advice please
so im trying to say the right thing here the top grates removed the tank pumped out all the black disks removed and cleaned repair grates at the bottem (poss put in stainless steel parts) for fix
then top up with fresh water assume add bacteria
sound freasble and price qoute ?

But tank's don't need to be replaced unless the walls are collapsing. What needs doing is pumping it out to assess it. If effluent is coming to the surface, remove the pipe elbow and check that the pipe going to the leach field isn't clogged; which you can do by sticking a water hose in it and turning the tap on full. If no water comes flushing back after a few minutes, then the pipe and leach field are probably good. Get a second opinion from a different septic company.
