semi gasifying wood boiler

Hi All

I have finally got round to getting the pics onto the computer, its not finished yet but I thought I'd post how far Ive got.
Just can't work out how to get the pics on here in the right order so I can have a pic, then write a bit about it then get another pic.
So what Ive done is put them all in my album on here with a little about each one.
There must be a way as other people have done it, I know it can be done if the pics are on another web site, think I,m too tired to work it out.

Hi Paul,

What i now do is upload the pictures to the reply/post box. then press preview post to make sure they're right. They then appear as an "attachment" in the reply box. Then put the text in around them as you want. The first picture you upload will appear last and the last one first.

Well here is a rough drawing of the little boiler from side and front.
How it works, or should work.

start a fire in the main chamber as normal, bottom door open flap above fire open so fire draws up chimney, let it get hot enough to heat the secondary air pipes.
Then close the bottom door, I have a screw on the latch to keep it tight shut from now onwards, then open the secondary air valve and close the valve above the fire, now what should happen is if there is a shortage of oxygen in the firebox the fuel will produce gas which cannot burn but will be very hot, by the draw of the chimney this will be sucked through the bed of the fire into the gasifying burner where it should mix thoroughly with the preheated secondary air which will cause it to burn as a gas flame, this then burns through the chamber to the heat exchanger at the back heating the secondary air pipes all the time and up the chimney continueing the cycle, hopefully the primary and secondary air controls will enable me to control the burn at a reasonable rate.
My only concern is that heat plus excess oxygen (as in the secondary air) equals a cutting torch of sorts, just hope it doesn't produce so much heat that my burn chamber starts melting.
Oh yes and it now has a chimney damper too just incase I need to shut down the draught a bit, again for control.

Thats the main workings of it, it is getting a water jacket around what will be the hottest bits to get the heat away and into the rads in the workshop.

I'm not too great at explaining thinks, so I hope you get the basic idea.
