Well done
Two things that are both unbelievable and… believable:
- Did that woman really try to drag a casualty off the road as he was ‘in the way of traffic’? What a cretin.
- You were initially offered an ambulance in four hours? That could have been a death sentence in the circumstances.
It's like bystanders not attempting CPR due to that, I've always think the casualty can't be worse than dead if you don't try.Frightened of doing something wrong and getting

to say everyone pays this via there council tax i find it really disgracefulDriving home this late afternoon 23 09 2025 we got caught in the Swansea Rush hour ( well that's what the locals call it ) coming from Mumbles and onto Crockett Lane still in the 30 mph zone when suddenly the two cars in front of me slowed to an almost abrupt stop then swerved to the left and b* ggered off .
A quick. I'm an A&E off dty duty doctor just come off shift . Jus then the ambulance service said there is a four hour wait for an ambulance . The doc grabbed son in laws phone and told them in no uncertain terms who she was and that this was a life and death emergence at the scene of a road traffic incidence . . I heard the reply , " An ambulance has been sent to your location , police and other emergency crews have been scrambled too .They all arrived almost in convoy 22 minutes later as the traffic build up had almost paralysed the area
Exactly, it`s always best to help if you can & you can`t be sued for giving someone first aid anywayIt's like bystanders not attempting CPR due to that, I've always think the casualty can't be worse than dead if you don't try.
Er, internal bleeding? All that ^^ sounds pretty desperate. The three Bs - Breathing, Blood, Bones
If they're breathing, not bleeding, and no bones are visible, in that order from most to least important, good luck getting an ambulance in any timely fashion.
Not heard that one, I was taught ABC, Airway, Breathing & Circulation, check the airway's clear, check they're breathing and there's a pulse. The three Bs - Breathing, Blood, Bones

I’m trained in first aid. Only had to use it once, on the golf course! Four of us were caddying and four were playing. Two of the players were sports coaches, one was a lecturer in sports and one was a young boy. Caddies were retired or young like me! Anyhow one of the caddies collapsed. Hit the deck hard. My training kick in immediately. Checked the guy over and put him in recovery position. Then had to shout at the othersIt's like bystanders not attempting CPR due to that, I've always think the casualty can't be worse than dead if you don't try.

to phone for the ambulance and our club defibrillator. The youngest caddy kicked into gear while the rest looked on. After the caddy was taken away. We all got talking, the three golfers involved with sport said they had no idea about first aid. I found this strange. I quizzed one of them further whilst walking along. They know first aid but will not do anything in case of being sued. It’s a real sad state of affairs when people think like that
I've done exactly this and will do it again if the situation arises !Frightened of doing something wrong and getting

It’s not new, in the mid 80’s three of us were on Blackpool Sands in Devon when a woman rushed over & said “do you know anything about first aid, a man had fallen & hit his head” when we went over, it was obvious that the guy was dying & hit his head on the way down. We started chest compressions, mouth to mouth was a bit tricky as he had smashed his face on the way down, we forced a snorkel down his throat, the best we could do. As we did this, a crowd started to form, on of which was a guy with his young son, about 5 I would guess, one of us went over & said “please take your boy away, the guy is dying” the answer “he wants to watch” by the time the ambulance had got there there was a crown of about 50, no one offered to help, they just stood there. As the ambulance men came over, 2 men appeared out of the crowd & said “we are consultant anaesthetists, would you like us to put the away in” they could have saved us an awful lot of grief & hassle, but no they just watched! As it turned out the ambulance men said he was dead before he hit the ground! It put a bit of a dampener on our diving weekendThere does seem to be a trend these days of helpless poor souls either drowning, on the floor after being assulted and any other circumstance of hurt , what morons just stand there with there phones filming it...look at youtube its full of itwhat upbringing has a person had to stand and watch someone slipping away, i really find it unbeilvable how they have all become so sanistised to suffering and hurt..

One of the last cpr courses I did: DRABCDThree Bs are more on the dispatcher's side - quick and dirty way to prioritise responses.
